Sharing my musical experience, ideas, knowledge and passion is a big part of what I do. I empathetically and earnestly strive to help each of my students reach their full musical potential. I am very proud of their many accomplishments – both small and large.

For over twenty years I have been teaching lessons and an array of music courses at universities, colleges and conservatories. I have a Doctorate in Saxophone from the University of Iowa and a Master’s in Jazz Studies from the New England Conservatory.

Since 2001 I have also maintained a vibrant lesson studio in Maine.
I currently offer virtual lessons in saxophone, piano, flute, composition and improvisation for all ages and abilities.

Band Directors, I have also taught many clinics and can offer the following:

• Coaching for big band, jazz combo, sax section (concert or jazz) or saxophone quartet

• All-State preparation – classical and jazz saxophone
